Technical Program/Project Manager

Reporting directly to the President, you will serve as the primary program lead for a major, multi year, multi country initiative involving the design, integration, and deployment of advanced RF communication systems. This includes navigating permitting, site development, technology integration, international vendor coordination, and client relationship management from concept through to installation.

As the program integrator, you will ensure that engineering, operations, procurement, and vendor partners remain aligned, on schedule, and on budget. You will quickly become the trusted interface between Aethera® and international customers, representing the company across multiple regions around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Leading all program planning, scheduling, and execution activities across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Managing complex end to end project cycles, from site identification to technology deployment, installation, and commissioning.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams to ensure system integration activities (e.g., antennas, transmitters, propagation systems) remain on track.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships by communicating clearly, setting expectations, and ongoing program reporting.
  • Coordinating international vendor purchasing and logistics.
  • Monitoring risks, dependencies, regulatory requirements, in country constraints, and shifting program priorities.
  • Travelling internationally to conduct site visits, meet partners, and establish client relationships.
  • Representing Aethera®  professionally in diverse cultural and business environments.
  • Supporting the growth of Aethera’s® operational capabilities, contributing to long term organizational leadership.

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you are a technically adept and confident program manager who is comfortable operating within complex engineering environments. You demonstrate sound judgment, professional resilience, and intellectual curiosity, capabilities essential for overseeing a large scale international program while developing a deep understanding of Aethera’s® RF technologies to support informed, strategic decision making.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as an Electrical Engineering Technology diploma supported by relevant program or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience, ideally involving technical system integration or infrastructure deployment.
  • Ability to learn and understand RF propagation concepts and the technologies Aethera® employs (previous RF experience is an asset).
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi stakeholder projects with international components.
  • Strength in building and managing business relationships across cultures and time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence in high stakes discussions, and the ability to hold others accountable.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling abilities, with comfort navigating uncertainty and evolving priorities.

FPGA Design Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will contribute to the development of leading-edge technology. You will work independently and collaborate closely with Aethera’s® custom equipment and system design teams on all aspects of FPGA and HDL design, from concept and implementation through testing, maintenance, and documentation. Following industry best practices, you will also partner with the embedded software team to develop the HDL components of firmware for Aethera’s® hardware platforms.

Qualifications

You are proficient in Verilog or VHDL and have experience with embedded controllers and firmware design. You must be eligible to meet the requirements for industrial security and the Controlled Goods Program.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Graduate-level specialization in HDL is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
  • Hands-on experience with HDL and FPGA design at both block and system levels.
  • Proficiency in Verilog (preferred) or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB or Octave is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.

  • One (1) year of experience in an equivalent RF test environment would be considered an asset.
  • You will have demonstrated strong aptitude in electrical theory, testing, troubleshooting and electro/mechanical assembly, and have strong mathematical skills.
  • You are familiar with relevant software tools (3D Mechanical CAD, PCB Design) and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite. Hands on experience with electronics manufacturing, testing and soldering equipment would be considered an asset.
  • You will be required to lift up to 50lbs following safe work practices.

Electrical Engineer/Project Leader

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, and working alongside operations, production, and quality staff, the Electrical Engineer/Project Leader is involved in the design, development, fabrication, testing, installation, and support of our equipment and systems.
